Our school logo
Through the joint effort of the school and the community especially the parents, we came up with the logo which carries out the purpose and the sentiments of our school and to whom it is intended to serve to.
What does each symbols/elements in our logo stands for? And what are the things and conditions which had affected the choice of each symbols/elements? Let’s examine each symbols/elements. The icon of the Philippine Flag represents courage, valiant and heroism. Since our school is located in the housing for what we call “living heroes” who have the privilege to depend, protect and maintain peace, order and security of our country. We came up with the meaningful decision to use the iconic image of the flag. The flag also stands for unity and independence. The school really need those values/ideas to serve effectively and be a miniature model of the greater community. But of course, aside from our peace keepers, there are other stakeholders outside the housing and they are also part of the functioning and growing of the school. And it is them that the word “community” stands for.
Academically the torch signifies enlightenment. Teachers are the constitutional bearer of this torch. The Teachers have the noble privilege to bring enlightenment or in other words to freed the learners as well as the community from darkness or frankly speaking from ignorance. It aims to produce rational beings, meaning individuals who acts based on reason. The school which stands for collective group of teachers will light their ways through out their academic journey until they are able to shine with their own light.
Laurel leaves stands for excellence and competitiveness. The school is working toward the attainment of excellence and to meet the standard of globally competitive school.
The book signifies great ideas, knowledge and wisdom. It is our key to access different places all over the world, to meet great thinkers and to explore the wonders of our existence. Today there are modern connotations of what a “book” is. The school supports those wonderful changes and is doing its but to make it accessible for everyone meets the guiding principles of DepEd mission and vision.
Why did those symbols/elements enclosed in a circle? The ideas and values that school is holding and the relationship among its stakeholders is an endless circle and the school cannot go on/function if there is at least one important element is absent. To make Heroesville Elementary School functioning, there must be a continuous effort from all stakeholders.
